About the Marginal Way Skatepark Foundation

The Marginal Way Skatepark Foundation is a Washington nonprofit corporation formed to maintain, improve, and preserve Marginal Way Skatepark—a community-built concrete skatepark under Highway 99 at E Marginal Way S and S Hanford Street in Seattle's SODO district.

For over 20 years, volunteer skateboarders have built and maintained this park using privately raised funds and donated labor. The Foundation exists to formalize that stewardship, ensure transparent management of all donations, and continue the park's legacy of free public access to quality skateboarding facilities.

As a registered nonprofit with a dedicated bank account, 100% of donations go directly to park maintenance and improvements. We organize community events, maintenance days, and inclusive programming to keep the park thriving for the next generation of Seattle skaters.
